Palm Desert Civic Center, Palm Desert, Ca

This site is a long-term documentary project focused on everyday places and ordinary moments.
I photograph streets, neighborhoods, storefronts, events, and quiet corners of the communities I move through — not to create something staged or polished, but to create a visual record of how things are right now.
Over time, places change. Businesses close. Buildings are renovated. Streets are redesigned. Traditions evolve. What feels ordinary today often becomes meaningful years later.
When we look back at photographs from the 1990s or early 2000s, we notice details we once overlooked — signage, clothing, cars, architecture, the way people gathered. Those images become unintentional history.
This project exists for that reason.
These photographs are a record of place and time — a way to preserve the present so that in the future we can look back and remember how it felt.
Nothing staged. Nothing manufactured. Just everyday life, documented as it is.
I’m Misael Marroquin, a photographer based in Arizona. While this site is dedicated to documentary and place-based work, I also provide professional event and portrait photography through my primary business, GB Event Photography. You can learn more about that work at www.gbeventphotography.com.
Here are the links to the different stock photography agencies where you can find my work. Most of the images are the same across all platforms, but some agencies accept certain images that others don’t—so you might see a few variations between them.
Each collection includes photos from public events and everyday scenes that businesses can use for marketing, websites, or editorial content.
Feel free to browse and download from whichever platform works best for you:
